wanna know a secret?

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints….For to them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,   Colossians 1:26-27

The secret very plainly is identified as that of Jesus Christ – “The hope of glory”

It’s interesting to me that Scripture reminds us that although God is love and God is our Father, He is also our hope!

Many people throughout the world, and even in America struggle with little things that we consider large.

  • Teens worry about boyfriends/girlfriends and school
  • Adults worry about finances and work demands

Yet, we always seem to forget that as Christians, we have an eternal life in Jesus Christ. A contemporary Christian song lyric reminds me “This world has nothing for me, This world has nothing for me.” Is that true for your life?

Interestingly enough, the lyrics that follow the line above is purely “I will follow you” meaning follow God. Are you following God? Do you trust in Him? Is your faith and hope in Him, or do you still worry about today and worldly events?

I challenge you today to put your TOTAL FAITH in GOD through JESUS CHRIST! It’s not a secret that true Hope can only be found in Jesus Christ!

“RESCUE” by New Song

You are the source of life
I can’t be left behind
No one else will do
I will take hold of You

I need You Jesus, I need You Jesus

My heart is Yours for life
I need Your hand in mine
No one else will do
Lord I put my trust in You

I need You Jesus to come to my rescue
Where else can I go?
There’s no other Name by which I am saved
Capture me with grace
I will follow You

My heart is Yours for life
I need Your hand in mine
No one else will do
Lord I put my trust in You

This world has nothing for me  – I will follow You!

what is this thing called “faith” ?

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
And without faith it is impossible to please [God], for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. – Hebrews 11:1,3, 6
A wise man once said: trusting in God is hard, but trusting in oneself is futile.

Faith isn’t easy to come by, it takes time. There was a time I didn’t have faith, and I found my life to be difficult and hard to take. I tried to do everything myself. I thought: I’m capable and I’m in control, I can handle anything. Well, I quickly found out that wasn’t true! Finally, someone told me about God.

Now, after trusting in God, developing my faith, I realize it’s all ok. God IS in control. When we have faith, we can be comforted, in the knowledge of God. I can’t tell you how to get faith. All I can do is tell you to start attending church, reading your Bible, and praying to God. Over time, your faith will develop and you’ll become a better person…depending on God.

the answer is…

You’ve probably watched the popular TV show Family Fued. Two contestants from separate families go to the front of the stage, the host poses a question for them to answer, and the first one to respond tries to pick the “most popular” answer based on what the “survey says.” Then the contestant with the most popular answer gets to choose whether or not to play the round with his family.

Well, today’s survey says…

Thank God! The answer is Jesus Christ our Lord. – Romans 7:25

Now, you may be asking: what is the question? Well, in many cases, the question is irrelevant. Why? Because Jesus is the answer! Without Him, we have nothing, we can do nothing, we are nothing, and unfortunately…we will be nothing.

I have the opportunity to talk to a lot of people in my job and through my weekly travels. While many people know Jesus, it is amazing how many people still do not know Him. Why? Because we haven’t told them about Him.

We go to church, we have Sunday School, we may even read our Bibles daily, but how many people tell others about Jesus?

That’s the real question we should be focused on answering today. How better and more often can we tell people about Jesus?

Survey says…you make the call – tell others about Jesus!
