The angel told Mary she would conceive a baby to be known as Savior of the world:
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” 38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.
The angel assured Mary that NO WORD from God will EVER fail. And Mary in her obedience, did not question it.
I regret the days that I have questioned God. Yes, I have done it . . . , I’m sure we all have. But we shouldn’t! God’s Word is true and we can depend on His Word and His plan for our life. We must submit ourselves to His direction. It seems hard sometimes, but it’s actually the easiest path. Sometimes it doesn’t look correct, but then again, we’re using only the human mind to try to understand a much greater power.
As a teenager, had you ever challenged your parent’s decision, only to find out later they were right? It’s somewhat the same, but MUCH more true for God. He is our Father, and He knows MUCH MORE than we do. Trust him today!
